This website is run by Li Xi & Friends ("we," "us"). Li Xi & Friends makes videos, books and activities for children, but this website is meant for parents and other grown-ups. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, and the choices you have.
The short version
- We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
- The only personal information we collect is an email address, and only if a parent or guardian chooses to join our email list.
- We do not use advertising or analytics trackers on this website, and we never sell or rent your information.
- You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing learnwithlixi@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Email list (parents and guardians only). If you sign up for our newsletter or the free Parent-Creator Playbook, we collect your email address (and your first name if you choose to give it). We use it only to send you the playbook, news about new Li Xi videos, books and activities, and occasional tips for families. Our email list is managed by MailerLite, an email service provider that stores and sends these emails for us. MailerLite may record basic information about how emails are delivered and opened so we can keep the list healthy. You can read MailerLite's privacy policy at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Emails you send us. If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message, and we use it only to reply.
Information we do not collect. This site has no accounts, no comments, no contests and no forms for children. We do not use cookies of our own, advertising networks or analytics tools.
Embedded videos
Our videos are hosted on YouTube. We embed them using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com), which means YouTube does not store information about you to personalize ads when you simply visit a page with a video on it. When you press play, YouTube (a Google service) may collect information as described in Google's Privacy Policy. Our videos are marked "Made for Kids" on YouTube, which limits the data YouTube collects and turns off personalized ads on them.
Links to Amazon, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook take you to those companies' websites, which have their own privacy policies.
Children's privacy (COPPA)
We care about protecting children's privacy and design this site with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in mind. Our email list is only for adults 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please email learnwithlixi@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.
How we share information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the email list (MailerLite), or if required by law.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, we remove it from our list.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe: click the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of any email we send.
- See, correct or delete your information: email learnwithlixi@gmail.com and we will help within 30 days.
Security
We use reputable services and limit access to your information, but no online service can be guaranteed 100% secure.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here and update the effective date above.
